Sister Mary Michaela (Katherina Yorg) was born in Germany, March 4, 1874, the daughter of John Yorg and Teresa Blender. She entered the Congregation, December 24, 1903, from Germany. She received the Habit, December 10, 1904, and made Final Profession, August 15, 1910, at Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, Indiana. She died at Saint Joseph's Hospital, South Bend, Indiana, October 3, 1951, and is interred in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, Indiana. Sister Michaela was assigned to Notre Dame du Lac, Notre Dame, Indiana and served by working in the laundry and helping in the kitchen.
