Father Gottfried Wolff, OSM, as the UNIFAS President and Prior General of Friar Servants of Mary, welcomed the conference participants. Father Gottfried M. Wolff OSM (* 1958 in Bayreuth , Bavaria) is Prior General of the Servite Order . Until September 21, 2013, he was Provincial of the Tyrolean Province of the Servite Order, which includes six monasteries in Austria and the order's only German monastery in Gelsenkirchen-Buer . Father Wolff made his first profession on June 4, 1981, after completing his novitiate in Canada . Following his theological studies in Innsbruck, he was ordained a priest in Regensburg on June 25, 1988. He then served as a chaplain in Viehhausen and later in Gelsenkirchen-Buer. From 1991, he was a pastor at the Servite parish in Düsseldorf-Rath , and from 1997 again in Gelsenkirchen-Buer. Father Gottfried M. Wolff was installed as the new Provincial of the Tyrolean Province and the German Delegation of the Servite Order on February 6 , 2006. After his re-election by his fellow Servants in November 2008, Father Gottfried M. was confirmed as Provincial in February 2009 by the Prior General of the Servites, Ángel M. Ruiz Garnica, for the term 2009 to 2012. He has been Prior General of the Servites since September 21, 2013.
